What is a Frolo Big Night In and Frolo Big Day Out?

The Frolo Big Night In & the Frolo Big Day Out are monthly initiatives for frolos to get together: we’re looking forward to seeing lots of ‘Big Days Out’ and ‘Big Nights In’ all happening at the same time across the UK and Ireland.⁠

A Frolo Big Night in takes place over the first weekend of every month. It can be on the Friday, Saturday or Sunday. It’s a virtual meet up set up by anyone in the Frolo Community – it can be general chit chat, a themed night, a quiz, film club etc…

A Frolo Big Day Out takes place over the last weekend of the month; it can be on the Friday, Saturday or Sunday of that weekend. It can be with or without children and can be held anywhere out of the house!

At the end of each month a winning Big Night In and Big Day Out meet up will be chosen and the host will receive £100 towards their next meet up and some fun Frolo merch.

How are the winners chosen?

We’ll be looking out for the following:

• Best meet up feedback
• Best meet up idea – creativity
• Best attended meet up
• Best shared meet up – posts in the app and on social media using #FroloBigNightIn #FroloBigDayOut

Winners will be picked by the Frolo team and are at the judges’ discretion. The judges’ decision is final.

How does the host use the prize money for meetups?

The prize money is awarded to the host to use towards their next meetup.

If this is a virtual meetup they may use it for a paid online shared experience for a number of participants (e.g. online escape room, quiz, disco, wine-tasting etc.) or share it with a number of participants to each buy refreshments or something else for the meetup.

If it is an in-person meetup the host can use the money to subsidise entry to somewhere, to subsidise drinks, buy people a coffee at the meetup etc…

How will the winner receive the prize money of £100?

By bank transfer. If the event is co-hosted by more than one person, there must be a nominated person who will receive the payment and be responsible for spending it on the next meetup.

Do winners need to show proof of how they spent the prize money?

We don’t need receipts but we’d love to see some photos!

Do winners need to spend the prize money within a certain time?

Yes – please arrange your next meetup within the next 3 months.

How do I enter my meet up?
