TERMS OF USE AND END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT
Last Updated: 5 August 2025
About Our Terms
Thank you for downloading the Frolo Limited software application for iOS or Android operating systems ("Application"). These Terms explain how you may use the Application and any corresponding services that may be made available to you via the Application from time to time ("Services") and constitute an agreement between you and us. For information, this agreement is between you and Frolo Limited and not with any third party including Apple or Google. Frolo is responsible for the Application and its contents.
References in these Terms to the Application include any updates to the Application.
You should read these Terms carefully before you use the Application. This Application is a platform for the Frolo community to discover and connect with other single parents. Our ethos is to promote a positive community for single parents where all people feel safe to share their stories, support one another and build their network.
Frolo will not tolerate any abusive or otherwise objectionable content or behaviour on the app and reserves the right to delete content that violates the Frolo Community Guidelines. Frolo also reserves the right to remove users who violate our Frolo Community Guidelines from the app.
By downloading, installing, and/or accessing the Application and/or using the Services, or otherwise indicating your consent, including by clicking to accept or agree to these Terms when and if this option is made available to you, you agree:
- to be bound by these Terms and the documents referred to in them, including our Privacy Policy;
- that you have read and understood these Terms; and
- that you are of legal age (18+) to enter into a binding agreement.
If you do not agree with or accept any of these Terms or the terms of the Privacy Policy, you should stop using and uninstall the Application immediately.
If you have any questions about the Application or any other matters, please contact us at: support@frolo.co.uk (Monday to Friday: 9 am to 6 pm).
Age Restriction and Verification
Frolo is strictly for users aged 18 and over. Access to the Frolo platform is restricted behind a paid subscription model via the App Store or Google Play. All users must confirm their age at sign-up, and age verification is enforced via the app stores' verified payment and authentication systems.
As part of our verification process, Frolo may use automated or manual systems to confirm age and identity. We reserve the right to request additional documentation or evidence of age if needed.
Any user found to have misrepresented their age or identity will be permanently removed from the platform and may be subject to further action. Frolo accepts no liability for users who bypass verification safeguards.
Access and Subscription Fees
The Application is free to download. However, access to all core features — including the Frolo Community and Frolo Dating modes — is available only to paying subscribers. Subscription fees vary depending on the plan selected and are displayed on the subscription screen within the Application.
Free trials may be offered at Frolo’s discretion. Terms applicable to free trials will be clearly communicated at the time of sign-up.
Child Safety and Prohibited Content
Frolo has a zero-tolerance policy for any content or behaviour that may threaten the safety of children or violate child protection laws. We are committed to complying with global child safety standards, including the UK Online Safety Act and international CSAE (Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation) regulations.
The following are strictly prohibited on the Frolo platform:
- Uploading, sharing, requesting, or linking to Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSEA) content
- Engaging in grooming, exploitation, or any form of inappropriate communication with, or about, minors
- Uploading images, names, locations, or other identifiable information of children without appropriate legal consent
- Attempting to misrepresent your age or identity to access or interact with the platform
- Discussing, promoting, or soliciting illegal acts involving children or minors in any form
Frolo uses a combination of automated tools (including image scanning and keyword detection) and manual moderation to detect and investigate violations.
Violations will result in immediate account termination, and relevant information may be shared with appropriate law enforcement authorities, including the UK National Crime Agency (NCA), the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), or other global regulators.
Please refer to our full Child Safety and CSAE Compliance Policy for more information.
User Conduct and Community Safety
We are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all users. You agree not to:
- Harass, bully, stalk, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Upload or share content that is violent, sexually explicit, discriminatory, hateful, or otherwise unlawful
- Share private or identifying information about others without their explicit consent
- Engage in any behaviour that endangers the safety of children, vulnerable individuals, or other users
You are expected to adhere to Frolo’s Community Guidelines at all times while using the Application.
Reporting and Enforcement
Frolo provides in-app tools that allow users to report abusive, harmful, or unsafe content and behaviour, including content that may relate to child safety concerns. All reports are reviewed promptly and in accordance with internal escalation protocols, typically within 24 hours.
We reserve the right to take enforcement actions, including but not limited to:
- Removing or restricting access to content
- Warning or suspending accounts
- Permanently banning accounts
- Reporting users to law enforcement or child protection authorities where necessary
Law Enforcement Cooperation
Frolo fully cooperates with law enforcement and child protection agencies in investigations involving illegal activity, including the exploitation or endangerment of children.
Where required by law or deemed necessary to protect individuals or the public, Frolo may share relevant account information, including metadata and user-generated content, with authorities. This will be done in compliance with applicable legal requirements and Frolo’s Privacy Policy.
Your Privacy and Personal Information
Your privacy is important to us. When you use the Application, Frolo may collect and use information about your device and usage, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please also review the applicable data use policies of your app store provider.
Frolo does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is underage or that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete that information promptly and may take additional action, including termination of the associated account.
