How to talk with your kids about porn

In today's modern world, access to porn has become mainstream and the reality is that no matter what we do, the majority of kids are going to see porn of some kind before they get to 18 years old. The best thing that we can do as parents is to be open to having conversations about porn so that we can prepare our children for it, put it in context and be prepared to answer difficult questions.

How do we do this though?

Sex in Space is excited to present the second book in its Liberated Library series, ‘How to talk with your kids about porn’. It’s a super accessible, highly visual and vital set of guiderails to help parents have conversations with their kids about this tricky but super important subject.

Why does this book matter so much?

• The average age kids first see porn is now 12

• Over 73% will see porn before they’re 17

• They need to be prepared for what they’ll see

If you don’t feel prepared to talk about it – this book can change that. It’s an innovative way to offer parents the information they need. It’s designed to be clear, non-judgemental, realistic, inclusive, and easily understood – including what to know, why you need to know it, the good and bad of online porn, what kind of conversations to have at what age, and how parents can help their kids be safe online.

Here’s what the experts are saying:

“This is the most comprehensive and accessible book, based in science, on porn out there. I wish EVERY parent could read this book and implement its wise and sound advice. If they did, every child and teen—and the world itself—would benefit.”
